This 4 channel MOSFET is suited to most microcontrollers including the Arduino and Raspberry Pi families.

MOSFETs are an electronic device with excellent switching characteristics.

They are widely used in circuits, such as power supplies switching , motor drivers, lighting dimmer and so on.

it feels like you are getting something for your effort.  This particular device has LED’s which light up when switched so you get instant feedback.

It is a 4-channel MOSFET switch, so it has the ability to switch up to four groups of electronic DC circuits.

MOSFET switches can only be used to control DC circuits, this is why its great for motors and LED light strings, Fish tank pumps and filters etc.

Please keep AC away from this board.

Generally speaking MOSFET’s are also high power devices. The IRF540 is capable of switching up to 100V/33A DC.

If you want to go to this sort of high power, you may wish to investigate using heatsinks on the mosfets themselves.

These devices are quite safe to experiment with as they use a 4 port optocoupler to keep the nasty voltages and currents away from your precious microcontroller.

It’s recommended to switch over 9V with these devices, but I was able to quite happily switch 5V.

As always be careful when using electronics and measure any voltage before you apply it to your microcontroller or circuit.

Please not the terminal blocks might come in blue or green.
